Fair Exchange of Digital Signatures Using Conditional Signature
نویسندگان
چکیده
To implement fair exchange of digital signatures, we need an efficient scheme to commit a digital signature safely to a specific receiver. To satisfy this security requirement in an efficient manner, we introduce a new variant of digital signature called conditional signature which is a specially interpreted signature on a message and a condition together. By imposing a signer-chosen condition which describes expected action of a specified receiver, conditional signature can be used as a private negotiation statement in two-party communication. We model negotiation problem using conditional signature and then construct a fair exchange protocol. We show that matching negotiation and real exchange give a fair exchange of digital signatures.

A traceable optimistic fair exchange protocol in the standard model
An Optimistic Fair Exchange (OFE) protocol is a good way for two parties to exchange their digital items in a fair way such that at the end of the protocol execution, both of them receive their items or none of them receive anything. In an OFE protocol there is a semi-trusted third party, named arbitrator, which involves in the protocol if it is necessary. But there is a security problem when a...
متن کاملFair Exchange of Digital Signatures using RSA-based CEMBS and Offline STTP
One of the essential security services needed to safeguard online transactions is fair exchange. In fair exchange protocols two parties can exchange their signatures in a fair manner, so that either each party gain the other’s signature or no one obtain anything useful. This paper examines security solutions for achieving fair exchange. It proposes new security protocols based on the "Certified...
متن کاملA Survey on Optimistic Fair Digital Signature Exchange Protocols
Security services become crucial to many applications such as e-commerce payment protocols, electronic contract signing, and certified e-mail delivery, with the phenomenal growth of the Internet and open networks. For these applications fair exchange must be assured. A fair protocol allows two parties to exchange digital signatures over the Internet in a fair way, so that either each party gets...
متن کاملEfficient Fair Exchange with Verifiable Confirmation of Signatures
We propose a new efficient protocol, which allows a pair of potentially mistrusting parties to exchange digital signatures over the Internet in a fair way, such that after the protocol is running, either each party obtains the other’s signature, or neither of them does. The protocol relies on an off-line Trusted Third Party (TTP), which does not take part in the exchange unless any of the parti...
متن کاملOptimistic Fair Exchange Protocol for E-Commerce
For e-commerce payments, fair exchange is one of the essential problems. The optimistic fair exchange protocol allows two parties to efficiently exchange items so that either each party gets the other’s item or neither does. We propose a new optimistic fair exchange protocol that is efficient and applicable to any digital signature scheme such as RSA or DSA. In our protocol, we introduce pre-si...
